Divide your mudroom floor in 4 areas.One area each for laundry,mudroom bench,mudroom cabinets.Leave the fourth area as sitting space for guests and baskets to keep any extra item.Area near the wall should be used to wall mount your cabinets.Attach shelves and baskets to increase storage space.Laundry room should be preferrably at the rear of your mudroom.Mudroom bench should be at the center of your mudroom.Keep front area to provide sitting space to guests.If you have pets ,provide space at the rear (near to laundry room) for them.They are also an important part of your household.Attach a sink to your mudroom.

It is always better to tile your mudroom.The color of tile should be dark.Always place a rug near the entrance.Make sure that tile is well polished and long lasting.Try to cover any cracks on tile by placing mudroom bench or rug over it.
